TENTATIVELY RE-SCHEDULED AS "DOG DAYS OF SUMMER" TBA
The Top Dog Show (plus Book and Parade) is tentatively re-scheduled for the Summer - with the team re-convening for discussions in late January. We just want to be sure to do a really high quality event, and between the Open Studios Tour and the upcoming holidays, it seems the SLO county arts communities are a bit tapped out for now. This new date will give us plenty of time to organize our event with fresh energies.
Thank you so very much for your support and understanding! We are thrilled with the top notch submissions we have gotten so far. With quality like this, the Top Dog Show, Book and Parade promise to be a superlatively fun trio of community arts events. The blog will be updated as our program changes - check back in February or so to see our updates!

Top Dog Coffee Bar announces trio of events
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Nov 3 2007
An exhibition, benefit book and a January dog parade are planned as a trio of events to mark the opening of the new Top Dog Coffee Bar, under owners Suzanne and Patrick Bietz, to be held Dec 1st - Feb 25th at the Top Dog Coffee Bar at 844 Main St in Morro Bay. Sales of the book will feature the work of SLO county artists and writers will benefit the Woods Humane Society. The event is being organized by independent curator and artist Tobey Crockett.
The Call for Artists and Writers for the "Top Dog Show" is posted below!
Curator Crockett says "I love the sense of community at the Top Dog coffee bar and I have wanted to do something fun and different with artists and writers of the Central Coast for some time now. I am thrilled that Suzanne and Patrick are making this possible. They’re very enthusiastic and supportive people."
“We are delighted to be a part of Morro Bay and have long wanted to have a business that envelopes the heart and soul of the people that live in this tightly knit community. To be able to give back is the essence of living, there is nothing more rewarding or fulfilling,” says the couple.
The Call for Artists and Writers has all the details. For further information contact either Tobey Crockett at 927 2804 or Patrick Bietz at 772 9225 or email topdogshow@earthlink.net
